About Find Your Finesse Futsal Club:
FYF was formed in 2023 where our lone 2012 boys team played in 3 tournaments and participated in our own league at Glen Arm Sports
After the closing of Glen Arm & Next Plays Sports, the club found its new home inside of a renovated store in Eastpoint Mall named Find Your Finesse
In the 2024 season, we formed 4 teams: 2016B, 2016G, 2013B, & 2012B. All teams participated in 5-6 tournaments at the state and regional level. We won 2 Finals and had 4 Championship appearances.
Our goal is to form 6-10 teams this year in varying age groups of boys and girls
Why Futsal:
Futsal is developmentally superior to outdoor soccer for young ages. Players get 4x as many touches on the ball in a game compared to 7v7 soccer. This means more dribbles, passes, shots, tackles and decisions under pressure. Players must adapt to playing all positions and learn to play at a faster pace.
Older age games are very entertaining because players display dribbling flair, positional rotation, and advanced tactics.
Having a child continue to play outdoor soccer during the winter is a poor decision. They need to avoid the harsh weather and feel that the fall season has actually ended. Futsal is refreshing and sometimes revelational for players because they get a new chance in a different style of soccer that is proven to develop players.
